Destroyed everything, mankind, scorched the sky, in a desperate attempt to defeat AI, called Zero1. So Zero1 rose to power and took over control from mankind, created the Xitame, by 2399, everyone and all that this world was just a virtual reality called the Matrix. Mankind was not born anymore, but grown in farms in fields, using complex machines, all borne out of a merger between Skynet and Xitame, now known as the Matrix. The real human and some of the survivers from the Matrix, called the hybrids with plugs, went underground, built a last remaining human settlement site, called Zion. The survivors of the nuclear holocaust that wasted the entire planet, turned it into a desert, were called the original humans. NARUS was now called the Machine City, where the fields were. Billions of people connected to a neural simulation called the Matrix, where hybrid between man and machine or haye, made everything real, while they lived in tubes, in the real world fields. The sentinels and other machine hunters and killers, would troll the wasteland, looking for Zion, trying to figure out ways of accessing their central mainframe. Wanting to destroy Zion, the last remaining human city, that was real.
